The BoatUS checking account offers outstanding award-winning benefits such as Online Banking and Keep the Change® savings program. Sign up for the Keep the Change® program and each purchase with your BoatUS Bank of America® debit card will be rounded up to the next dollar and the difference will be transferred from your checking account to your savings account. Bank of America will match your Keep the Change transfers at 100% for the first three months after you enroll and 10% thereafter, up to a maximum total match of $250 per year. This reward will be paid annually to your savings account.

† Keep the Change® requires a checking account, debit card and savings account. Upon enrollment in Keep the Change, we will round your MasterCard® or Visa® debit card purchases to the nearest dollar and transfer the difference from your checking account to your Bank of America savings account. We will match your Keep the Change savings at 100% for the first three months after you enroll and for BoatUS Members, 10% thereafter. The maximum total match is $250 per year. Matching funds are paid annually after the anniversary of enrollment on accounts that remain open and enrolled. Bank of America will only match Keep the Change transfers on up to five checking accounts per depositor (including joint depositors) or up to five checking accounts per household, whichever is less. Eligible savings accounts include, but are not limited to, Regular Savings (or Market Rate Savings in WA and ID) that requires a minimum opening balance of $25 ($1 in WA and ID) and pays a variable Annual Percentage Yield (APY) that was 0.05% as of 03/1/2012. Rates may change after the account is opened. Money Market savings accounts are also eligible. Fees may reduce earnings. The promotional matching funds will be reported to the IRS on form 1099.
